Croton Reservoir Tavern is at 108 West 40th Street, one block from Bryant Park, five minutes from the Broadway theaters and walking distance from Grand Central, Penn Station and Port Authority. That location is why we host as many office parties, cast parties and out of town groups as we do.
We have two floors. Downstairs is The Speakeasy, a room you can take on its own. Upstairs is the main dining room and the fifty foot oak bar. Take both and the whole building is yours.
Groups start at eight seated or ten standing in a section of the main floor, and run to three hundred across both levels for a cocktail reception.
Corporate events and holiday parties, birthdays, retirement parties, fundraisers, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners and business meetings.
Semi Private, Main Floor
Three areas on the main floor, each with its own character. The Point is the front window space just inside the entrance. The 20s sits beneath the reservoir mural. The Rear Bar is the back section, with banquette seating, high tops and its own access to the fifty foot oak bar.
Right for birthdays, team dinners, after work gatherings and anything that wants a room of its own without taking the whole floor.
Capacity: 10 to 40 standing, 8 to 35 seated

The Speakeasy
The lower level, over a thousand square feet, with its own bar, leather banquette booths, exposed brick and polished concrete floors. Taken on its own it is a private room with a private bar, which is what most groups are looking for.
Corporate dinners, presentations, birthdays, rehearsal dinners and receptions.
Capacity: Up to 100 for a cocktail reception, 75 for a buffet, 50 for a seated dinner

Take both floors and the whole building is yours for the night, with two rooms and two atmospheres. Upstairs is the main dining room and the fifty foot oak bar. Downstairs is The Speakeasy, with its own bar and banquette booths.

Capacity: Up to 300 for a cocktail reception or 250 for a buffet across both floors

What Every Event Includes
Two full bars, one on each floor, so nobody waits.
Built in screens and an AV system on both floors.
Restrooms on both levels. WiFi throughout. Seating that gets reset to whatever shape your night needs, whether that is one long table or a room to move around in.
The main floor is wheelchair accessible. The Speakeasy is down a flight of stairs, and there is no elevator, so tell us if anyone in your party needs step-free access, and we will plan your event upstairs.
Food and Drink
Nobody remembers the room. They remember whether the drinks kept coming and the food was worth talking about.
Open bar packages run by the hour, from beer and wine through standard and premium spirits, with signature cocktails if you want something of your own on the list.
On the food side, platters for grazing, passed hors d'oeuvres if you want the room moving, a dinner station, or a proper seated menu. Vegetarian options throughout, vegan on request, and we will work around any allergies in the group.
Packages are customizable and priced per person. Send us your date and your headcount, and we will build something around it.
Good to Know
We do not permit outside wine.
Cake cutting is $5 per person.
